If I'm not designing stuff then I'm fixing it! Four PC's and counting. I never realised I had so much computer crap lying around the house. On the upside I now have a q6600 with a BFG8800GTX to play with. If you have a problem with your pc don't call me. I also enjoy playing with actionscript and have a couple of simple actionscript games in the pipeline, (wasp hunt and trooper trivia) maybe one day I'll get them finished. Other WIP

What do you do with one pc and four SGI1600SW'S? You put them all together and you get to see what 6400x1024 desktop looks like. To be honest four was too much, it was hurting my neck so I'm sticking to three until the price of vesa mounts come down and I can wall mount the suckers.

Introduction
Presenting information in a way that is engaging is something that I enjoy doing. From a simple static website to a dynamic flash site with all the bells and whistles, I try to find the correct balance of graphics and animation to best display the information. I am also keen to adhere to standards and methods that allow the participation of users that may find it difficult to use technology and use colour schemes that are easy on the eye for all to view.
Not just a web monkey!
I design graphics too. My grounding as a draughtsman has played a major role in my style and pixel precision. I don’t like to over complicate things. Challenges motivated me. I enjoy finding solutions to overcome design problems.
Understanding the client
Unlike a lot of so called "web" designers, I work with the client. I understand their needs and go out of my way to understand their products. I also point out when there may be difficulties with their requirements and aim to produce a solution that reflects their business.

Perhaps your website was fresh, new and interesting just two years ago. That’s great, but is it still an accurate reflection of your company? My Skillset.
I can create conceptual design projects to final product. This could be an online learning website including appropriate use of flash or video, a promotional website to advertise products or services with an updatable backend, Logo design and re-branding or CD-DVD stand alone applications.
On the technical side, I am competent with most industry standard software, Adobe products mainly; I have a wide and varied knowledge of many web-based software tools, such as Illustrator, Fireworks, DreamWeaver, Director, Photoshop, Flash and Video editing software and various other industry standard software. I also have a high level of fluency in information architecture, navigation and site standards development using CSS and XHTML.
I would like to think I have a creative mind, a keen understanding of user experience, (usability and e-learning good practice) exceptional communication skills, attention to detail, self-motivation, and the ability to hit the deadline every time.
I’m just someone who can get the job done; sometimes I even go fishing!
